mockaddress User Guide
1. What is mockaddress?
mockaddress is a global online address generator that produces structurally sound, realistic-looking sample addresses for scenarios such as:
- Web / App form debugging and frontend–backend integration;
- Automated testing, API load tests, and mock user data;
- Demo, training, and test-environment data seeding;
- Cases where you need “realistic” addresses but prefer not to expose real personal data.
Important: all generated addresses are for testing and learning only. They are not guaranteed to exist in the real world and are not suitable for shipping, contracts, or legal use.
2. Basic usage
Using the “US Address Generator” as an example (other regions work similarly):
- Select a country/region page: In the top navigation, choose the page you need, such as “US Address” or “US Tax-Free State Address”.
-
Set generation options (if available): Some pages let you choose state/province or region type. For example:
- Select states such as California (CA) or New York (NY);
- Toggle extra fields like identity information or credit card samples, where provided.
-
Click “Generate Address”: The page generates a random sample address locally in your browser, typically including:
- Recipient name (with localized naming where applicable);
- Street address (house number + street name);
- City / region name;
- State / province / region code;
- Postal code (ZIP / Postcode);
- Phone number following local patterns.
- Review the result area: Fields are shown separately for easy copying, and some pages also display a fully formatted single-line address for pasting into forms.
-
Copy and save:
- Use the “Copy” button next to a field to copy that value to your clipboard;
- Use the “Share” feature (where available) to copy a consolidated version of the generated address;
- If you enable “Save address”, the result is stored in your browser’s local storage and can be managed on the “Saved Addresses” page, including CSV/JSON downloads.
3. Saved Addresses
3.1 Saving addresses
On any generator page, click “Save to Local” (or similar). The current address is written to localStorage in your browser and never sent to our servers.
3.2 Viewing saved entries
Open the “Saved Addresses” page from the top navigation. You’ll see a list of all records stored in your browser, including generation time, country/region, and field details.
3.3 Exporting and deleting
- Export: Some pages let you export saved addresses as CSV or JSON for use in scripts, Excel, or other tools.
- Delete: You can delete individual records or clear all saved data at once (this is irreversible).
Reminder: all saved data exists only in your local browser. If you clear your cache/local storage or switch devices, those addresses will be lost.
4. Languages and site versions
mockaddress offers multiple language versions (currently Chinese, English, Russian, and Spanish):
- Use the language switcher in the top-right corner to jump between language versions;
- When possible, the switcher takes you to the equivalent feature page in the other language (for example, Chinese “美国地址” → English “US Address”);
- The generation logic is the same; only the interface text and descriptions change.
5. FAQ
5.1 Can I use these addresses for real deliveries?
We do not recommend it and cannot guarantee success. Addresses are sample data generated from public formats and rules, intended for testing and education—not as real-world shipping addresses. Always use verified, real addresses for actual business.
5.2 Do you store my data?
Generation runs entirely in your browser. Any data you choose to “save” is kept in your local storage only and is not uploaded to our servers. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
5.3 Is it free and can I use it indefinitely?
The current version is free and does not require registration. Under normal conditions we do not impose strict limits on generation frequency, and it should comfortably meet typical usage (for example, generating once every 2 seconds for extended periods). If we ever need to add limits due to abuse or resource constraints, we will announce it on the site.
5.4 Do you support bulk generation?
Some pages support exporting multiple saved addresses as CSV/JSON, which you can use as a basic “batch” source. For very large volumes (thousands of records in one go), we recommend writing your own script based on open datasets and rules, to avoid overloading the online service.
5.5 What if the page looks broken or errors occur?
Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache, and make sure you’re using a modern browser (latest Chrome, Edge, Safari, etc.). If the problem persists, email us with a description and your browser information.
6. Usage rules and liability (important)
- Use mockaddress only in compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
- Never use generated sample data for financial fraud, credit abuse, fake registrations, identity theft, regulatory evasion, money laundering, or any other illegal activity;
- All legal responsibility for misuse lies entirely with the user, not with mockaddress.
mockaddress makes no warranty regarding the existence, accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any generated data.
